My research is focussed upon improving the decision-making of individuals and groups when conservation planning. My collaborations with conservation management organisations and NGOs typically aim to provide evidence-based decision-making. Specifically, I focus upon blending social and ecological information to map conservation opportunities across local communities and regions, as well as developing instruments for understanding why and how individuals, such as land managers, make their decisions. I am also interested in undertsnaing the role of failure and social learning institutions when implementing effective conservation planning initiatives.
