Alex has a background in law and environmental science, and has previously worked in various policy roles for the Commonwealth and Victorian Governments. Nearing the end of his PhD, his research explores how the strategic use of message framing can enhance conservation messages. This applies principles from various social science disciplines, including economics, psychology and communication to craft more effective biodiversity conservation messages. Located in the RMIT University Interdisciplinary Conservation Science Research Group (https://icsrg.info/), Alex is supervised by Assoc Prof Sarah Bekessy, Assoc Prof Fiona Fidler and Dr Ascelin Gordon.
